Still no pricing for the US. Manuel transmission only for the 252HP 4 clyin. I personally like the looks more than the Stinger
U.S buyers will be able to choose between three powertrain configurations and five trim packages, ranging from the Advanced spec to the flagship Sport model. Two engines will be available in a 252 HP 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder and a 365 HP 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, with rear wheel drive as standard and AWD optional.
Either engine can be spec’d with an 8-speed automatic with standard steering wheel mounted paddle-shifters, while an optional 6-speed manual can be had with the 2.0T RWD model aimed at driving-oriented enthusiasts. However, it’s only the automatic versions that feature a launch control system.

Wait, a manual in a higher-end luxury vehicle?
I think I’m in love

Not for the 365HP V6

is it weird that i think the stinger is better looking?

That 2.0t Manual could well be the car that eventually replaces my DD. Plenty of power for me, And probably significantly better MPGs

To each his own. I do not like that taillight trim sticking out but it’s fine if the car is red.
G70 rear 3/4 is conventioanl but much better looking
I don’t hate the Stinger’s looks I actually love that it’s a liftback, it’s just that this soup of Infiniti Q50+Alfa Giulia+Genesis Grill works for me.

A4, if you like Audis.

The 2/3/4-series and the A4 are all still available with a manual.

I see TLX in the greenhouse, too.
How functional is the fender vent? Makes me want to reach for a can of spackle.

The 340i says hi!

But it’s about time it had some competition.

I wish the manual was available with the 6, but this is a gorgeous car. I like it much better than the Stinger - and presume it’s got much higher quality interior materials, too.

Let’s see:
- looks better than the stinger
- shorter wheelbase and length than the stinger
- stick and 3 pedals
We’ve got a winner

holy shit we agree on something. The Genesis is derivative, but it’s the right kind of derivative.

Here’s a video that goes over the interior. Looks good but it’s no A4/Cclass

I hope to be able to afford one in the next few years, it’s a beautiful car, one of the best looking sedans on the market IMO.

I usually prefer Kia’s styling over the equivalent Hyundai product, but, in this case, I have to say the Genesis has the edge. Not that the Stinger is a bad looking car, but this just has a more refined and elegant look, less fussy too. I’m guessing pricing should be similar, somewhere in the low 30s?

I agree. And Genesis has been coy in releasing pricing. The 2.0T RWD stinger starts around 32K so this should be comparable I hope.
